A traditional cheese storage facility built in 1917 (was used by local shepherds to store cheese) that was recently renovated and immaculately decorated, with the personal touch of the owner, into a cozy country house. The house retains its original character with a traditional stone structure and wooden beamed ceilings. The interior has full wooden flooring and features 1 bedroom with a large double bed and 1 bathroom with shower, living room with large fireplace, dining area (separated from the living room by the original stone arch), kitchen, a 200sqm courtyard and a large parking area. The dining area is adjacent to the open plan kitchen, which is fully equipped with high tech appliances. The inviting courtyard enjoys fabulous unobstructed views of the sea and the countryside. The courtyard features a build in coal barbecue and full outdoor furniture.
The house lies within a private estate with olive groves, fruit trees (oranges, tangerines) and its own chapel, while the water supply comes from the nearby Zou spring (excellent quality spring water). Enjoy endless walks in the 4 acre estate while picking fresh fruits right from the trees.
The property is conveniently located within a short driving distance (about 4km) from the town of Sitia (the town has numerous supermarkets, restaurants, bars and an organized beach). The nearby village of Zou (1km distance) has a small tavern with traditional food.
